People 2012 (13) - Wife

This is the first female photo I posted on this project. And I want it to be none other than my most precious and lovely wife. We dated for 10 years. We are married for 10 years (this Oct). We have basically lived life together for more than half of our lifespan.

It is awesome to be with a woman you love so much and she in returns. It is not a cliché to say that we made one another whole. I love her more than anyone in this world. I will want to be with her all my life. I want our kids to grow up like her.

Sunday Special - Japanese Doll

One of this year’s highlight for Kless and I will be a trip to Tokyo!! It is to celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary. I will definitely be looking out for Japanese girls on the streets with their super kawaii kimono.

People 2012 (12) - Young Entrepreneur

Don’t belittle the beginning of the young. Recently there was a Kidz Flea held at Sentosa, and this young boy really played his part in being a good businessman. At least he got my wife buying 2 sticker books for my girls.

Sunday Special - Coffee Maker

My mother always commented that the 90cents kopi-o from our neighbourhood kopitiam is much better than the $6 latte from Starbucks.

The older the better?

People 2012 (11) - Persistence

Walking through the streets looking for some ideas for this project, I saw this old lady pushing her heavy cart from far off. Initially I didn’t want to take her photo, I felt like invading her privacy, expounding on her misery.

But when she got nearer, I couldn’t help but admire her persistence and attitude of never-say-die. Walking bare-footed, she ignored the stares from people, she lowers her head and go on pushing, bit by bit, moving to her destination. I just had to take her photo, to remember this moment of humbling and to remind myself that no matter how hard life is, we can still walk on!

Sunday Special - Rest & Relax

Don’t you wish that life can be just sitting on a chair enjoying the sun and maybe drink a cup of coffee/ tea?

People 2012 (10) - Tailor

Have you seen male tailor? The are a whole stretch of them along Little India, looks like our Indian friends prefer male sewing hands.

10 weeks into this project, I have leant that you can get better in street photography by practicing. Shoot then ask or ask before shoot? I feel both ways work!

Sunday Special - Heart In Hands

This is a rough art piece done by the blind. But the rugged edges and handicraft reflects clearly something more than just art.

People 2012 (9) - Angry Hawker

If you are in such situation, run! An angry hawker with his cleaver is not a man to be trifled with. Thank goodness I was standing behind a low wall and he is busy serving his customers.
